Control your harvest starting from the field!

What if you need to collect and weigh the goods in remote locations that are not supported by Wi-Fi and power supply – for example, in the field or in the garden? For such cases RID Logistic Solutions Company has developed a special solution.

RAVAS mobile weighing systems have been well known among specialists for a long time. They allow you to optimize the performance of work related to the weighing of goods and cargo. RAVAS Built-in trolley or forklift scales directly determine the weight of the load during transportation. This allows to weigh cargo wherever it is convenient and efficient, because the weighing process is not tied to stationary weights. Usually RAVAS scales are used in conjunction with UniWin software, which automatically captures and transmits the data of the weighing to the information system. Moving operations, weighing and acceptance of the goods are performed and reported at the same time. Moreover, UniWin communicates with the terminal and data collection (PDA), which allows you to automatically identify the goods. If the data collection to the PDA is not used, the employee can enter the product code manually via the RAVAS keyboard. This information is also automatically included in the system of accounting. Employee acknowledges your input and the goods in the accounting system are adopted.

This solution has proven to be very efficient for the production and storage areas. But what if you need to collect and weigh the goods in remote locations that are not supported by Wi-Fi and power supply – for example, in the field or in the garden? For such cases RID Logistic Solutions Company has developed a special solution.

Its working principle is most convenient to demonstrate with the example of the fruit harvest.

Harvest

.

After collector has filled container with fruits he passes it to the controller, who reads the bar code of collector and container harvested by him using the data collection to the PDA. Forklift equipped with a RAVAS system weighs the container, and information about the weight of harvested fruit and controller is stored in the data collection to the PDA.

Transportation to storage

.

Number of containers and weight data of the harvested fruit, immersed in every car, is stored in data collection to the PDA controllers.

Acceptance to storage

.

During unloading the car, which is performed with a forklift equipped with a RAVAS system, warehouseman reads the bar code of container (data collection to the PDA), determines its weight and then sends it to storage. At the end of the working day or shift data collected from data collection to the PDA controller in the field is synchronized with the data collected by warehouseman in the storage. Thus the weight of fruits collected in the field and those taken to the warehouse is compared in total and separately for each container.

Sorting / recycling

.

Before the presale preparation, each container is weighed. After processing fruits are weighed again with new features included, such as type of packaging, fruit size, etc. This makes it possible to monitor the weight of fruits received from storage, weight of sorted and packaged for sale fruits and waste weight.

Dispatching from warehouse

.

During packaging and shipment from storage, which is also executed by RAVAS, both total weight of shipment and weight of each fruit packing are monitored.

Analysis of Operations and Reports

.

Joined use of RAVAS mobile weighing system and UniWin software allows you to control all the operations and fruit weight at all stages as well as to provide relevant reports.

Integration with accounting system

.

UniWin software can operate with any accounting system – with complex ERP as well as with common and simple, 1C in particular.

This solution, developed by RID Logistic Solutions, allows you to control the weight of the goods produced and to record performed operations, starting from the field, to optimize the process of weighing, to execute it in parallel with the loading and unloading operations, and to perform all the above not only in warehouse, but also in field conditions.
